Shalom and welcome to the Ramah @ 50 weekend celebration Page!
We hope you all had a wonderful weekend participating in any and all of our Ramah@50 celebratory events.
The feedback from the participants has been wonderful. Ramah@50 was an overwhelming success! It was an amazing Shabbat that rekindled the Ruach of Ramah, raised funds for camper scholarships (including an announcement of a ‘matching gift challenge’ to raise an additional $150,000 by June 2011) and honoured two incredible families who have put their heart and soul into Camp Ramah for so many years.
It was truly incredible to see everything really come together as it did. People remembered, relived, reconnected, and reminisced the whole weekend. The turn out of so many just demonstrates the impact and connection that Ramah has had on so many individuals
And all this with a very small but supremely dedicated team who worked tirelessly within a short time-line to ensure this weekends success. Thank you to everyone.
Kabbalat Shabbat Dinner | Shabbat Services and enhanced Kiddush | Ramah@50 Gala | Speeches

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 12, 2010 Shabbat Parshat V’ayetzeh
Over 450 guests participated in a beautiful Kabbalat Shabbat Dinner that began with services at Beth Tzedec’s main sanctuary.
The service was in true Ramah style form with alumni and former Directors, spanning the 50 years of Camp Ramah, leading services.
Former Director, Epi, beautifully related the Parsha to all of our camp memories, in a humorous and moving way.
Dinner was a wonderful evening of reminiscing and reuniting with old friends.
Ramah was privileged to have Jeremy Fingerman, CEO of the Foundation for Jewish Camp as our Guest Speaker

Services begin in the Kimmel gym on the second floor. It was a standing room only service with over 300 people joining the “Ramah” and Beth Tzedec’s “Little Minyan” that was all led and run by Ramah campers, staff and Alumni.
We all wished that we had a camera to capture the beautiful “Bimah” pictures of past and present “Ramahniks”, joined together with the Judge Lieff z”l Torah that we asked to use in our service.
Rabbi Adam Cutler and Rabbi Chuck Diamond topped it all off with their beautiful and enlightening words.
After Services, the honourees, Phyllis and Ab Flatt and Carole and Harold Wolfe sponsored an enhanced Kiddush that celebrated both Ramah@50 and the upcoming marriage of Matthew Lindzon to Danielle Rudoph.

The Havdallah Service, led by Nachum Peterseil and Mark Weinstock, had guests joined arm in arm to welcome the new week and close up the beautiful weekend, Ramah Style. The singing and ruach continues with past Rosh Shira, Craig Taubman, with alumni dancing on the chairs to old camp tunes.
It was a moving moment to see 50 years of campers, staff and alumni all singing together and enjoying the spirit of Ramah.
