Many of you may have met Elissa at camp the past two summers as our Yoetzet, parent liason. Michele has taken on the role as Marketing & Communications Manager and will be popping up in your email frequently. Loretta joins the team as the new Controller. The Ramah @50
weekend celebration Nov 12 - 13, 2010 was an overwhelming success.
Feedback from participants has been wonderful. It was an amazing Shabbat that rekindled the Ruach of Ramah, raised funds for camper scholarships and honoured two incredible families who put their heart and soul into Camp Ramah for so many years.
It was incredible to see the event come together. People remembered, relived, reconnected, and reminisced the whole weekend.
The turn out of so many demonstrates the impact that Ramah has had on so many individuals.
And all this with a very small but supremely dedicated team who worked tirelessly within a short time-line to ensure the events success.
Thank you to all our families, donors and volunteers who continue to support Camp Ramah in Canada.

January snow could not stop Camp Ramah in Canada campers, staff, alumni and new families from gathering at the Adath Israel Congregation in Toronto to bring Shabbat to a close, Ramah style.
Fifty participants were led by Ramah campers and staff from the past and present in, Mincha, Torah reading, Seudah Shlishit and Ma'ariv. The Havdallah service that followed captured the Ramah spirit.
Todah Raba to Adath Israel and Rabbi Seed, Jodi Gottesman and Janice Kamen for organizing such a wonderful evening that had so much Ramah ruach and fun. Tov li Be'Machaneh Ramah!
Hamilton will be hosting an event in late March for Ramah families and prospective families. Details to follow.

You can experience 5 days of riding and Shabbat in the Galil,all while raising funds to support Ramah programs.

AMIR GARDEN
Blooms at Ramah
The Amir Project is an organic gardening program through our Yahadut curriculum. The Amir garden is an educational garden in the shape of a large circle.
Campers have the opportunity to actively learn about their connection to the Earth while planting their own garden.

MIGRASH SARAH 
Phase 1 of the new migrash was completely rebuilt and redesigned last summer. While the old migrash used to be a large singular field, Migrash Sarah is now divided into two different sections that are both more accessible and enjoyable. Many activities are available on the migrash: soccer, baseball, volleyball, and gaga plus an inner walking and running track with intersecting paths.
Kesher Tefilin program is not just an unbelievable art project, this is truly an amazing educational experience. Tzeirim campers studied the mitzvot and halachot of Tefilin, while creating their own pair. Todah Raba to Noah Greenberg for guiding our chanichim through the steps of making, putting on and what the mitzvah includes. "The product of the project is not the physical tefilin, it's the excitement and ownership they feel for the mitzvah".
ILLUSTRATED TORAH 
The Illustrated Torah, a
non-denominational program designed to teach each Parshah using hands on learning and visualization,
was made by Israeli artist, Michal Meron. Each Parshah is depicted by beautiful illustrations. Camp Ramah was honoured to have the Illustrated Torah as an educational tool and for davening and Torah reading for Nitzanim, Arizim, Kfirim and Tikvah Campers. Thank you to Ab and Phyllis Flatt for donating the Torah and the ability for each of the chanichim to use it.

Camp Ramah's NEW Young Adult Alumni group.
As Chairs of the of the newly formed Shalem Committee for young adults in their 20's and 30's, we are so excited to have this opportunity to continue our work with Ramah as adults.
We plan to bring you unique and meaningful experiences reminiscent of our camp with social, spiritual and philanthropic programming in Toronto as well as occasions to visit to camp.
We look forward to reconnecting and strenghtening our relationships with the Ramah family through the Shalem committee.
