Second month 2009 and my summer as a Nachshonim camper was coming to an end. The summer went by like a flash of lightning before my very eyes. I remember the night like it was yesterday. My counselor suddenly told us all to get up and put on some warm clothes. All ten campers in my cabin were confused and, as we wandered down to the migrash, we wondered what could possibly be happening. We all lay down in the middle of the vast field and looked up at the night sky filled with millions of shining stars. Slow music played as we talked about the memories of the past summer, the summer that was slowly sliding away. The full moon reflected in the waters of the agam and my close friends were by my side, laughing the night away. I had never felt more at peace, at home. That moment will stay with me forever.

Every year I go to camp is an adventure for me. Camp is a big family for me and for my friends.

I went to camp this year at machaneh ramah b'canada. I had a great time. My favorite memory was when we went to lunch and sitting on the table was a list announcing our Yom Sport teams. And there I saw my name under the column that said ''red and yellow". I was so excited that night at the Beit Am Gadol when I saw the poster with our team's colors and name, "Pirate." We all dressed up in our colors, and I even had paint on my face. During the marathon, I did the egg toss and the egg cracked, but after three eggs we did it. We didn't win, but Yom Sport was awesome!

I remember last year's camping trip when I was the first one out of the tent in the morning, and I went to the edge of the island and looked at the lake. There were two seagulls circling up above, and it was completely silent. I'll never forget that trip.
