WHAT SHOULD I BRING? WHAT SHOULD I FORGET AT HOME? ….
Here are some great ideas of fun things to bring with you to camp and a short list of things that you should forget at home.
Following those suggestions is a packing list. Make sure that you have looked at all the lists carefully so you have what you need to have a great summer, participate in all of the activities, and be ready for all types of weather.

Fun things that you will love having with you!
Colourful clothing
Old dance/Purim costumes
Your parents’ old clothes that they are happy to share
Old jewelry
Wacky hair accessories
Make-up and face paints
Nail polish - all colours
Your favourite sports equipment (make sure it is labeled and not valuable)
Playing cards
Games that you love
Books and magazines, especially ones to share and read together
Your favourite stuffed animal
Outdoor activities equipment
Sand toys

Don’t Forget....
Talit and tefillin (mandatory for boys 13 years and older, optional for others)
Kippot (mandatory for boys, optional for girls)
Camera
Pens and paper and other writing tools

Please Forget…
Your cell phone, computer, portable DVD player, hot pot, snackmaster - all electrical things
Food….we will make sure you have plenty to eat and help us make sure that the animals have nothing to eat
Bikinis, Speedos, mini-skirts, tops with inappropriate writing
Your fancy and expensive clothing, jewelry, and keepsakes
Fancy equipment (hair dryers, iPods etc.)

PERSONAL CLOTHING
Talit & tefillin (mandatory for boys 13 years and older, optional for others)
4 kippot (mandatory for boys, optional for girls)
4 long-sleeve T-shirts
8 short-sleeved T-shirts
6 shorts
2 pairs of jeans
4 pairs of sweatpants
4 light sweaters/sweatshirts
15 pairs of underwear
15 pairs of socks
3 pairs of pajamas
4 bathing suits - (Girls - one piece or tankini only, Boys - swimming trunks)
2 sun hats
1 heavy jacket
1 raincoat with hat or hood
1 bathrobe
1 pair of rain boots
1 pair of slippers
1 pair of shower/beach shoes
2 pairs of shoes (running or sneakers/hiking)
Appropriate Shabbat clothing (see Parent Information Guide)

The main thing to remember about Muskoka weather is that it can be hot or cold, so layering is the key! Imagine you are an onion!

BEDDING
2-3 blankets
1 sleeping bag and ground sheet
4 sheets (single) - flat are best
2-3 pillow cases
1 pillow

TOILET ARTICLES
7-8 towels (beach/shower)
2 face cloths
2 laundry bags
1 brush & comb
2 bars of soap (soap container)
toothbrush, toothpaste
shampoo, Kleenex, deodorant
sunscreen lotion (minimum SPF 15)
insect repellent
1 toilet bag or pail

OTHER ITEMS
Letter writing material (paper, pens, pencils)
Your Bunk1 stationery, if your parents decided to buy it before camp
Canadian stamps, envelopes (self-addressed are helpful)
Musical instruments
Inexpensive camera
Books, Hebrew texts
Athletic equipment (balls, baseball gloves, roller blades, helmets, and safety gear, etc.)
Flashlight and batteries
Cards, portable games, chess
Canteen
EXTRA NAME TAPES (needles, thread, hangers)

NOTE: Please do NOT bring expensive jewelry, watches, cameras, or heirloom talit or tefillin. Unnecessary electrical equipment such as computers, cell phones, portable DVD players, and cooking devices are not permitted.
