Busing requests received after April 16, 2008 or requests for changes in busing plans will be accommodated only if space is available. No refunds will be given for bus cancellations received within 30 days of the travel date. Each camper will receive a "BOARDING PASS" Name Tag in our final mailing for the appropriate bus, and will present this pass to the staff at the buses upon departure for camp. (No camper will be sent a boarding pass until account balances are paid in full).
Please note: Toronto Airport pick up will be at 12:30 P.M. on June 25 and July 21 as noted on the Bus Transportation schedule. A Ramah staff member will be available at each Terminal at Pearson International Airport. Please schedule your arrival times accordingly.
Campers driven by private car on June 25 or July 21 should arrive between 3PM – 5PM, and must be registered in the main office. Campers being driven home by private car on July 20 may not be picked up until 10:00 A.M. (the beginning of Visitors' Day). Campers leaving on August 18 (end of camp) should be picked up at 9:00 A.M. All campers leaving camp must be signed out in the main office.
In consideration of the difficulties associated with all periods of transition, camp policy prohibits campers from arriving after the starting date or leaving early.
U.S. AND FOREIGN CAMPERS
As of January 23, 2007 the United States Government has instituted new travel requirements whereby all citizens of both the United States and Canada are required to present a passport to enter the United States when arriving by air.
We recommend that all American campers and staff traveling to Camp Ramah in Canada whether by air or ground transportation obtain passports. All travel documents will be securely stored at camp
CLOTHING INFORMATION
For Label Information click here.
It is important from the standpoint of health and cleanliness that campers have sufficient and appropriate clothing. The clothing list is designed to provide the camper with a suggested two-week supply of washable clothing. At camp a child gives clothes harder wear than in the city and occasionally loses something. It is therefore advisable to provide children with a serviceable, economical outfit rather than an expensive one. We are happy to provide you with an opportunity to purchase quality-customized "Ramah"clothing. You can view the selection of clothing and accessories available for purchase at the following website:

Please remember that when it rains at camp, the camp roads do become muddy and filled with puddles. It is therefore critical that your child bring waterproof rainwear. Boots are crucial.
Due to the dangers involved with exposure to the sun, it is important that your child wear a hat as well as effective sunscreen during outdoor activities. Please make certain that your child has a hat suitable for active play, and an ample supply of sunscreen.
Because Ramah is an educational institution where we are trying to promote certain values, we request that only T-shirts with appropriate wording and graphics be sent to camp. T-SHIRTS WITH INAPPROPRIATE WORDS, PHRASES, OR SYMBOLS MAY NOT BE WORN. We reserve the right to make a judgment regarding the appropriateness of a camper's clothing and will send a camper back to his/her tzrif to change. Dress at camp is for comfort and activity, not for show.
Shabbat is a very special time of our camp week. The mood of Shabbat is set in many different ways. The type of wardrobe that a child wears on Shabbat adds to this mood. Skirts and blouses, slacks and shirts are the appropriate dress for Shabbat - nothing fancier. We also encourage modesty in dress during prayer. Overly revealing clothing can distract from the Shabbat atmosphere we are trying to create at camp.
