VISITING POLICY
Visiting is permitted only on the scheduled VISITORS' DAY. Unscheduled visits
from friends or relatives interfere with the child's participation in the
camp program, and are unfair to other campers and their parents. We cannot
accommodate visitors who "drop by, while on the way" to say hello. Please do
not place the camp and your child in an uncomfortable position by breaking
this rule.
CAMPER BIRTHDAYS
Every camper celebrating a birthday during the camp season will receive a
birthday cake. Campers with birthdays will also be allowed to make a
5-minute collect phone call home on their birthday.
YOATZIM - Advisors/Parent Liaisons
OOften issues come up during the summer that parents would like to address with someone at camp. The staff persons that are hired specifically to handle interpersonal issues with campers and parent questions are the Yoatzim (Parent Liaisons/Advisors). These are adults who have skills and background in advising and counseling. You will receive an email in the first days of camp with the name of your child’s Yoetz/et. Please direct all calls to your child’s Yoetz/et, who will then address the issue personally.
The Yoetz/et will contact the parents of all first time campers during the first week of camp to report on their child’s adjustment to camp. Please be aware that other than emergency situations, return calls to parents usually take 24 - 36 hours.
CUSTODY OF CHILDREN
Please inform the camp administration of any issues regarding non-custodial
parents. This is an important issue and we must be aware of it.
Please inform the camp regarding all mailings to parents of campers living
separately. Please make sure that we are sending all information to both
parents.
