Ramah is more than just a summer camp. Ramah is a total experience whose impact lasts well beyond the summer months.

Young people at Ramah develop skills and leadership, close friendships, and a Jewish consciousness that lasts a lifetime. Camp Ramah in Canada is located in the beautiful Muskoka region of Central Ontario, just two hours north of Toronto. The natural beauty of the setting is combined with a full complement of camping facilities.

Camp Ramah in Canada draws campers from Ontario, Quebec, Michigan, Ohio, Upstate New York, and Western Pennsylvania.

Eligibility
Camp Ramah in Canada accepts campers ages 8 to 16. Campers currently in grade 2 are accepted for the Taste of Ramah camping experience. Campers currently in grades 3 to 8 are accepted either for a one-session camping program or for the full summer. Teenagers in grade 9 & 10 participate in full season camping.

Ramah also offers a six-week Tikvah program for campers with developmental disabilities who want to share in the full Ramah experience.

All campers must be actively involved in Jewish study throughout the year. Ramah is an active, creative experience in Jewish living. Jewish values underlie a concern for each individual and for the development of a warm, spirited community.

In addition to informal Hebrew and Judaic classes, each camper chooses from the following activities designed to teach new skills, build abilities, and increase self-esteem.

On beautiful Skeleton Lake, basic and advanced instruction is offered daily in the areas of:

A full and challenging athletics program allows campers to choose from a selection of sports, including:

A wide range of activities in the arts allows each camper to explore individual talents in the areas of:

WATERFRONT activities are supervised by a certified staff, offering a safe and exciting program which is a highlight for our campers.

SPORTS is an integral part of every camper's development, focusing on skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. We have a brand new state of the art sports fields, offering all types of sports.

OUTDOORS program takes full advantage of the camp's beautiful setting while raising our camper's environmental awareness, appreciation for nature, camping and scouting skills. Campers experience 1-5 day overnights, depending on their age.

JUDAICA and Jewish values are a natural part of camp, with inspirational educators teaching in an informal setting.

HEBREW is spoken, heard and learned at camp, giving campers the opportunity to practice and develop Hebrew language skills

SHABBAT and Jewish prayer are experiences in a setting of natural beauty and shared creatively with friends.

ISRAEL becomes closer to our campers through music, dance and personal contact with Israeli staff.
