Our son had previously attended another summer camp for a couple of years and was generally unsatisfied. Upon coming to Ramah, it was like a new person was born at the camp. Our son loved it. He was totally captivated by the immersive Jewish experience the camp offers, in particular the ruach on Shabbat, the warm staff, the enthusiastic campers, and the broad range of activities Ramah offered. Our son Justin counts the days down until he can leave for camp. Even though we live in California, Justin's camp friendships are maintained throughout the year. Camp Ramah integrates Jewish learning into camp activities in a fun and loving way, instilling positive Jewish identification. My son is a sports fanatic and Ramah certainly provides amazing sport and water programs. I also really like that Justin has the chance to explore different activities involving nature, art, cooking, and theatre. Camp Ramah is a safe place for kids to grow and learn while having the summer of their lives. It is more than a camp - it's a community and journey for life.

Growing up in a small town with little access to Jewish life, Camp Ramah was an integral part of my Jewish upbringing and education. The impact Ramah had on me, and now my three kids, has been incredible.
